Question 1. Convert the following temperatures to the Celsius scale.
(a) 293 K (b) 470 K.
Answer: To concert Kelvin scale into Celsius scale we have to subtract 273 so (a) 293K=293-273=20 ºC, (b) 470K=470-273=197 ºC
(a) 293 K (b) 470 K.
Answer: To concert Kelvin scale into Celsius scale we have to subtract 273 so (a) 293K=293-273=20 ºC, (b) 470K=470-273=197 ºC
Why we subtract 273
ReplyDeleteBecause Kelvin value is 273
DeleteHow you know the 273
DeleteTo change a temperature on the Kelvin scale to the Celsius scale you have to subtract 273 from the given temperature
ReplyDeletewe always have to subtract 273 from the given questions ?
ReplyDeleteor we can choose another number?
ReplyDeleteInstead of 273 can we use another number...if not so...then why
ReplyDeleteBecause 0℃= 273k .We take 0℃ = 273k after rounding off the decimal. To change the temperature on the Kelvin scale to the Celsius scale you have to subtract 273 from the given temperature and to convert a temperature on the Celsius scale to the Kelvin scale you have to add 273 to the given temperature
