The magnetic field inside a long straight solenoid-carrying current
(a) is zero
(b) decreases as we move towards its end
(c) increases as we move towards its end
(d) is the same at all points

Ans: (d) The magnetic field inside a long straight current-carrying solenoid is uniform which is represented by parallel lines. Hence it is same at all points.

  1. Shouldn't 'b' be the correct option. Afterall the distance between magnetic field lines go on increasing as we move towards the poles thus leading to a decrease in the magnetic strength...
