The transport of soluble products of photosynthesis is called translocation.
Transportation of food, amino acids and other substances takes place in the
sieve tubes along with adjacent companions cells. Thus, transportation takes
place in phloem in both the directions upward and downward towards the storage organs
to roots, fruits, seeds and the growing regions.
Not well is it sufficient for 5 marks.
