Hello,
ReplyDeleteSulfur exists as an octatomic molecule so the reaction must've been S8 +8O2-> 8SO2 or if the reaction which u gave is the right, then can u explain what is wrong with my reasoning? I am confused about this.
S8 is form of sulphur and found in nature natively and here we took some limited quantity of sulphur so s should be taken not s8

Usually sulphur is denoted by S and not S8 but for phosphorus it is always P4
