Definition--
Prepositions in English Grammar in Hindi – वे शब्द या शब्दों के समूह जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम और वाक्य के दूसरे भाग के बीच के सम्बन्ध को दर्शाते हैं, Prepositions कहलाते हैं। आमतौर पर इन्हें किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से पहले स्थित किया जाता है। एक बात और, जिस संज्ञा या सर्वनाम के साथ Preposition का प्रयोग किया जाता है, वह संज्ञा या सर्वनाम इसका Object कहलाता है।
Preposition is a word or phrase that is used before a noun or pronoun to show place, time, direction, etc. The most common prepositions are at, by, for, from, in, of, on, to, and with. Other common prepositions are about, above, across, after, against, along, among, around, before, behind, below, beneath, beside, between, close to, down, during, except, inside, instead of, into, like, near, off, on top of, onto, out of, outside, over, past, since, through, toward, under, until, up, upon, within, without.
A preposition is a word which shows relationships among other words in the sentence.
दो वस्तुओं के मध्य संबंध बताने वाले शब्द को संबंधकारक कहते हैं।

The teachers pushes the students beyond their limits. शिक्षक छात्रों को उनकी सीमा से परे धक्का देते हैं।
Beyond the river was a small town. नदी के पार एक छोटा सा गाँव है!
Few people live beyond the age of a hundred. बहुत ही कम लोग 100 साल से उपर जीते है!
The situation is already beyond our control. हालत हमारे हाँथ से बाहर है!
It's beyond belief that he'd say that. उसने जो कहा वो समझ से परे है!

He is coming by noon flight. वो दोपहर की फ्लाइट से आ रहा है।
Despite - के बावजूद
Despite of a smaller Akbar won this battle.-संख्या में कम होते हुए भी अकबर ने इस युद्ध मे विजय प्राप्त की।
Despite the fact that people say nobody will buy one, लोगों के यह कहने के बावजूद कि कोई इन्हें नहीं खरीदेगा,
He got the job in spite of his prison record. अपने जेल के रिकॉर्ड के बावजूद उसको नौकरी मिल गई!
The game continued despite the rain. बारिश के बावजूद खेल जारी रहा!
She went to Spain despite the fact that her doctor had told her to rest. डॉक्टर ने उसे आराम करने के लिए कहा इसके बावजूद वह स्पेन गई!
Down- नीचे
They sat down at the table. वे मेज के नीचे बैठ गए!
She was walking down the street. वह गली में चल रही थी!
Someone pushed him and he fell down the stairs.किसी ने उसे धक्का मारा और वह सीडियों से नीचे गिर गया!
She’s walking down the steps.वह सीडियों के नीचे सैर कर रही है!
These children are lying down in the snow. बच्चे बर्फ के नीचे लेटे है!
During- मध्य
I was in Delhi during vacations. छुट्टियों के दौरान मैं दिल्ली में था।
We can meet Sachin during the break. हम ब्रेक के दौरान सचिन से मिल सकते हैं।
He fell asleep during the film. वह फिल्म के मध्य सो गया!
We met a lot of people during our holiday. हम अपनी छुट्टियों में बहुत से लोगो से मिले!
You are not allowed to use your mobile phone during class. कक्षा के मध्य में तुम्हे मोबाइल फ़ोन उपयोग करने की आज्ञा नही है!
Except - सिवाय
A Self-realized person does not depend on anybody except God for anything. प्रबुद्ध व्यक्ति सिवाय ईश्वर के किसी और पर निर्भर नहीं करता।
Everyone is invited except Sam. सैम के सिवाय सभी को बुलाया गया!
We're open every day except Saturday and Sunday. शनिवार और रविवार के इलावा हम हरदिन खुले है!
I got everything correct except for one problem.एक परेशानी के इलावा मैंने सभी हल कर ली!
Everyone except Nancy passed the test. नैंसी के इलावा सभी ने टेस्ट पास कर लिया!
From- से
I am coming from Dehradun. मैं देहरादून से आ रहा हूँ ।
They came from park. वे पार्क से आये।
I will work from tomorrow. मैं कल से काम करुँगा।
Ram will work from 10 o’clock. राम दस बजे से काम करेगा।
I heard it from Ram. मैंने राम से ये सुना।
In- में
इस Preposition का प्रयोग position बताने के लिए किया जाता है. वहीं, इसका उपयोग बड़े एरिया को बताने के लिए भी किया जाता है.
I live in Delhi. मैं दिल्ली में रहता हूँ ।
He will study in America. वो अमेरिका में पढ़ाई करेगा।
He will come home in 2015. वो 2015 में घर आयेगा।
I left the company in June 2009. मैंने जून 2009 में कम्पनी छोड़ी।
I will leave in half an hour. मैं आधे घंटे में निकलूँगा।
Inside- अंदर
A calculus formed inside the kidney.किडनी के अंदर निर्मित एक पत्थरी है!
A body organ located inside the skull खोपड़ी के भीतर स्थित एक शरीर का अंग है!
She went inside her room to get the umbrella. वह अपने कमरे के अंदर छाता लेने के लिए गई!
She is inside the room. वह कमरे के अंदर है!
Fish is swimming inside the water. मछली पानी में तैर रही है!
Into - में
Into: इसका प्रयोग मूवमेंट बताने के लिए होता है. खास कर के उस verb के साथ जिसका उपयोग हम वाक्य में मूवमेंट दिखाने के लिए करते हैं.
Pour the coffee into the cup. कॉफी को कप में डालो
He is going into the room. वो कमरे में जा रहा है।
Come into the house. घर के अंदर आओ!
She dove into the water. वह पानी में कूद गई!
He threw the letter into the fire. उसनेआग में पत्र डाला!
