Ans. Phloem transports food materials from the
leaves to different parts of the plant. The transportation of food in phloem is
achieved by utilizing energy from ATP which helps in creating osmotic pressure
that transport food from the area of high concentration to low concentration.

ReplyDeleteThe food is transported in plants through phloem in the form of sucrose solution. The glucose is formed during photosynthesis and converted into sucrose and by absorbing the water it form sucrose solution and moved from high concentration to low concentration to the plant body..
